I'm really exited about some upcoming workshops we are planning. Very soon Ill be announcing dates for our first Hedgelaying workshops. I'm talking to Robb Martin who teaches Blacksmith Courses at Thak Ironworks about an onsite course on Creating Your Home Forge and Basic Home Blacksmith Workshops. Also in the pipeline are Bow-Making and Scything Workshops.
All these will probably be held when the weather improves but in the meantime we will be continuing with spoon- carving and basket making workshops. Despite a postponement due to (my) ill health we have the first Spoon-carving Workshop of 2019 this weekend (Saturday 23rd February), with more workshops to come on 30th March and 4th May. Mount Wolfe Farm Spoon Carving Club will now have its inaugural meet on Sunday 3rd March for those who attended the first workshop.
We will also announce new sweet grass basket weaving workshops soon.
I look forward to seeing you at Mount Wolfe in 2019.
